London Migrant Hotel Protest ERUPTS as Huge Police turnout Escalates Tensions July 28, 2025 Ukadmin UK Migration Crisis </p> <h2>London migrant hotel protest ERUPTS as huge police turnout escalates tensions</h2> <p> Security has erected a cordon around the Britannia Hotel in Canary Wharf after furious residents protested in the area when it emerged the Government would house asylum seekers there.</p> <p>The protests were the latest to rock the country after a series of clashes in Epping over migrants being housed in the Bell Hotel.</p> <p>Confirming the Britannia would be used to house migrants, Tower Hamlets Council said: “We are aware of the Government’s decision to use the Britannia Hotel in Canary Wharf to provide temporary accommodation for asylum seekers.</p> <p>“It is important that the Government ensures that there is a full package of support for those staying at the hotel.
