Dozens of mourners gathered in London’s Whitehall on Friday to honour slain US conservative activist Charlie Kirk, who was fatally shot during a public event in Utah. Supporters held flowers, waved American and Union flags, and carried signs reading “We are all Charlie” and “When discourse ends, violence begins.” The vigil, organised by Turning Point UK, reflected both admiration for Kirk’s global influence and growing concerns over free speech in Britain and Europe. Kirk, 31, was gunned down while addressing 3,000 people, sparking outrage and prompting President Trump to vow justice while announcing he will posthumously award Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom.
