“Keir Starmer Is A PUPPET!” | Migration Causes Second-Highest Surge In UK Population In 75 Years

The UK population has surged by more than 755,000 in a year, the second-biggest rise in 75 years, driven mainly by record net migration.

The Office for National Statistics (ONS) estimates the population hit 69.3 million in mid-2024, with 1.23 million people moving to the UK and around 497,000 leaving. That left net migration at 738,718.

Births fell to a 42-year low of 662,148, while deaths were at their lowest since before the pandemic. Natural change added little to the overall increase, and in Scotland and Wales deaths outnumbered births.
