If Nigel Farage is elected prime minister, his ambitious immigration plan will be implemented. Farage has promised to remove many migrants’ Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR) and require them to reapply under more stringent guidelines. He also announced Operation Restoring Justice, which aims to remove human rights safeguards in order to deport 600,000 illegal migrants and asylum seekers. Despite having very little legislative presence, his party is now leading the polls.
