The UK government appears to be copying the Danish approach to immigration — but what does that really mean and how strict is it?

Denmark’s immigration policies mean the number of approved asylum seeker applications, barring the 2020 pandemic, have hit a 40-year low.

So as the Labour party attempt to fight off competition from Reform, they’re proposing a new approach.

But with MP Clive Lewis describing the approach as ‘hardcore’, will Labour scare off base voters by delivering on their promise?
