Accessible EV Europe & England Road Trip 2026 was led by DMUK in May 2026. The project aimed to identify the real-world challenges that disabled people face when travelling in an electric vehicle and using electric charging bays, both in the UK and Europe.
The road trip features Anjna Patel (68), a DMUK member who has lived with severe rheumatoid arthritis for more than 20 years, and Zoe Rush from DMUK, who provided media coverage, reporting, and general support throughout the journey.
All chargers were assessed and measured to determine whether they fit the audit assessment.
