Can young Brits actually afford to live — not just survive, but really live? I’m nearly 80. I’ve watched this country through rationing, recessions, and booms. And I think the honest answer is one most people don’t want to say out loud. From housing costs that have gone from 3x to nearly 8x average earnings, to one in three young men living at home, to a country where deaths will outnumber births this year — this is my honest assessment of what’s happening to a generation.
