Is this a new Nigel Farage? | LBC

Gawain Towler, former adviser to Nigel Farage, told LBC’s Henry Riley that Reform must prove it is ‘competent and better’ than its political rivals. The party has gained influence following successful local elections in May, and Nigel Farage has begun to weigh in on policy debates outside of immigraiton, like the two child benefit cap. Towler told Henry that Farage ‘has learned from previous mistakes’ and has a strategy to connect with voters. He added that ‘all of his critics are proven liars,’ with pressure mounting on Reform to transform its election wins into material results. In his “pitch to working people” in a major speech today, the Reform boss will dub the Prime Minister the “most unpatriotic” in history after signing deals with the EU and to hand over the Chagos Islands to Mauritius. In his first keynote speech since the local elections, the Reform Party boss will take aim at the Labour party, declaring his outlet as the “official opposition” – and the Tories over. He will appear alongside new MP Sarah Pochin, fresh from winning the Runcorn by-election in a knife-edge vote earlier this month, and a string of newly elected mayors and councillors. #henryriley #reform #nigelfarage #ukpolitics #benefits #poverty #labour #starmer #brexit #economy #richardtice #conservative #uknews #LBC Credit to : LBC
