Donald Trump has attacked Sir Keir Starmer for agreeing to return the Chagos Islands to Mauritius, calling it an act of “great stupidity” and “total weakness”.
He claims China and Russia will exploit the move and says it strengthens his argument that the US should acquire Greenland. The UK insists the deal secures the future of the Diego Garcia military base.
