JUST IN: Starmer in SHOCK as UK In CRISIS Over EU Border CHAOS & Massive Holiday Delays

EU countries have declined to confirm whether they will implement a new border system that could result in significant airport delays for British travelers. The Home Office had requested a list of airports set to adopt the Entry/Exit System (EES), which mandates that passengers have their passports scanned and their fingerprints and photos taken.

With less than 48 hours until the new regulations take effect, Brussels and EU member states have not provided a clear list, leaving the UK uncertain about potential delays for travelers. According to the Daily Express, the UK is unaware of how many airports will start these new checks on Sunday. Beginning Sunday, British passport holders will need to register during their first visit to an EU country.

Three countries—Estonia, Luxembourg, and the Czech Republic—have announced that they will implement the entry-exit system for all arrivals and departures from the start date of October 12, 2025. Germany plans to begin with just one airport, Dusseldorf, while Norway will introduce the new checks at Oslo.

Spain, the most favored destination for British tourists, will initially test the EES with only one flight arriving at Madrid airport on the first day of the system. It remains unclear when other major airports, such as those in Alicante, Barcelona, Malaga, Tenerife, and Palma, will adopt the new measures.
