Nigel Farage has been reported to police by a former Reform UK campaign worker over claims he falsified election expenses. Farage is accused of wrongly classifying local spending in Clacton as national spending, which could break electoral law.
Richard Everett, a former Reform councillor who helped run Farage’s winning campaign, has given the Met Police documents he says show an overspend. He claims some costs were not declared, including leaflets, banners, utility bills and refurbishment of a Reform-branded campaign bar.
He also says the party failed to report the loan of an armoured Land Rover used by Farage at a rally on Clacton Pier.
