Labour reacts to Farage migration plans and Trump’s paracetamol claims

Reform UK’s plans to abolish the right of migrants to qualify for permanent settlement in the UK after five years are “unworkable”, Labour says.

Housing and planning minister, Matthew Pennycooke, said the proposals had “failed to survive reality” and controlled migration was needed to grow the British economy.

Mr Pennycook also urged British women to continue taking Paracetamol, saying Donald Trump’s claim the painkiller was linked to autism when taken by pregnant women was “unproven”.
