Liberal Democrats to announce plans to bring US scientists to UK, says MP
It’s the final day of the Liberal Democrats’ annual party conference, with Sir Ed Davey set to deliver his keynote leader’s speech.
Liberal Democrat foreign affairs spokesperson Calum Miller said Davey will announce that the party is calling on the government to make it easier for American cancer researchers to come to the UK.
Miller added: “We know there are brilliant scientists who want to continue their research but don’t feel welcome in the US.”
