Young people who refuse a job after 18 months on benefits could lose state support, Rachel Reeves will announce at Labour conference.
The Chancellor will unveil a new “youth guarantee”, pledging all 18–21-year-olds education, training or work. Reeves says the plan will end long-term youth unemployment, cut welfare costs, and restore “dignity” through work.
Ian Collins discusses the big stories of the day with broadcaster, Duncan Barkes.
