Sadiq Khan hits back after Donald Trump calls him ‘disgusting’

With relations between the United States and Europe already on edge, US President Donald Trump has reignited a feud with London Mayor Sadiq Khan whom he falsely accused of trying to impose Islamic law in the UK.

In an interview with Politico, Trump called Khan “horrible, vicious and disgusting.” Mhairi Beveridge explains how the feud dates back over ten years but has escalated significantly in 2025.
