Scottish Fire and Rescue Service management criticised after Cairngorms wildfire

A third major Highland wildfire in three years has reignited criticism of fire service management.

An ex-police area commander and retired firefighter have questioned the service’s account of the response to the Cairngorms wildfire, which burned for several weeks.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service says it ensured that the right resources were in the right locations.
