Shadow Chancellor Mel Stride opened opposition day debate in the House of Commons with a stunning and visceral attack on Chancellor Rachel Reeves’ economic record.
Stride said that Reeves would “blame anyone for herself” for Labour’s issues such as stubborn inflation and unemployment growth, and also used the debate to highlight one of the Conservatives key policies if in government – the abolition of stamp duty.
