“Something Is Happening” | Russian Spy Ship Targets RAF Pilots With Lasers Near UK Waters!

A Russian spy ship, the Yantar, has directed lasers at RAF planes monitoring it off the Scottish coast, marking the first time a Russian vessel has targeted British forces in this way, according to Defence Secretary John Healey.

The Yantar, a sophisticated intelligence-gathering ship equipped for deep-sea surveillance and potential sabotage, was tracked by a Royal Navy frigate and RAF aircraft.

Healey emphasised that the lasers, intended to disrupt pilots, posed a serious danger, and announced tighter monitoring and updated rules of engagement for UK forces. He framed the incident within a broader “new era of threat,” citing global conflicts, cyber-attacks, and Russian incursions, and stressed that Britain must strengthen its defence, innovate its armed forces, and attract investment in military capabilities.
