Starmer FINALLY BACKS DOWN after ‘Brit Card’ Freedom SCANDAL — MPs & Watchdogs FURIOUS!

Keir Starmer has described digital ID cards as a “significant opportunity” for the UK, as the government prepares for potential backlash from civil liberties organizations regarding privacy issues.

The Prime Minister plans to unveil the initiative on Friday at a conference focused on how progressive leaders can address the challenges facing the UK, including voter concerns about immigration. The proposed “Brit card” would require new legislation and has already encountered resistance from civil liberties groups worried about privacy implications.

In response to these concerns, Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy stated that the government has “no intention of creating a dystopian situation.”

On Friday, Starmer remarked, “I understand that working people are anxious about the level of illegal immigration in this country. Demands for secure borders and managed migration are reasonable, and this government is attentive to those needs and is taking action.

“Digital ID presents a significant opportunity for the UK. It will make it more difficult to work illegally in this country, thereby enhancing the security of our borders.”
