Trump hits foreign films with 100% tariff – what does it mean for UK?
President Trump has set his sights on the international film scene as he vowed to slap 100% tariffs on movies made overseas, in a bid to protect Hollywood.
Mr Trump described foreign films as a “national security threat” and claimed the US movie industry was dying “a very fast death”.
It’s not clear how these tariffs would be calculated or applied, but there are already fears that it could cause havoc to the UK’s own beleaguered film industry.
