Keir Starmer has talked about wanting to push for closer ties with the EU still. But, beyond following through with the agreement to lower the need for checks, what else is there? Something big like the customs union seems to be on hold for both sides now. Maybe the next big push needs to be with the UK public, not the EU Commission.
