“You Lied To The British Public!”

Freshly released figures – prised out of Whitehall using the Freedom of Information Act – put the price tag for handing the British Indian Ocean Territory to Mauritius at nearly £35 billion.
That’s a staggering leap from the £3.4 billion number Sir Keir has been touting in public.
Now Labour ministers are under fire, accused of using an “accountancy trick” to bury the real bill and of misleading both Parliament and the public.
Speaking to Will Kingston, Talk’s Mike Graham says: “He’s been caught out!”
