Chancellor says UK economy ‘turned a corner’ after inflation drops to 2.3%
The Chancellor has told Sky News that the UK economy has “turned a corner” after inflation dropped to 2.3% in April.
Jeremy Hunt said he was careful not to make “inflationary decisions” and was committed to bringing down taxes for people and to help build a stronger economy.
He said the Conservatives were “willing to do the hard work to bring down taxes”.
