“They Get To Stay In 5 Star Hotels!” | 10,000 Channel Migrants Make Crossing Since Labour Win
Over 10,000 migrants have crossed the Channel in small boats since Sir Keir Starmer became Prime Minister, increasing pressure on him to fulfil his promise to tackle the crisis.
Government data showed 65 more people made the journey from France on Monday, just a day after eight migrants died attempting the crossing. This brings the total to 10,024 since Starmer took office on July 4.
Starmer has stated that tackling illegal immigration is a top priority. He recently travelled to Italy to discuss stopping smuggling gangs and appointed Martin Hewitt as the new Border Security Commander.
