‘World closer to nuclear escalation than at any point since Cuban missile crisis,’ warns Rishi Sunak
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has warned the world is closer to a nuclear escalation.
He highlights Russia, Iran, North Korea and China as states working to “undermine” the UK’s values.
Talking specifically about Vladimir Putin, he says the Russian president’s “recklessness has taken us closer to a dangerous nuclear escalation than at any point since the Cuban missile crisis”.
